“You just want to figure out when you get a break from the fire house for a couple of hours to sleep. “Yeah, you drink out of the fire hose,” Todd said. “I think Martha McSally has embraced this new style of politics, and I think Kyrsten Sinema is convinced that the old style … which is sort of no, no, no, it’s all about playing for the middle, you are seeing the two opposing styles actually run against each other in the same race in the same state. McSally has embraced more slash-and-burn tactics (and President Donald Trump himself, at least lately), while Sinema has taken the more-traditional approach of steering for the middle of the political divide. Jeff Flake’s seat that’s the big attraction, and Todd said he thinks it could have implications far beyond Arizona. It’s the race between Republican Martha McSally and Democrat Kyrsten Sinema for Sen. Todd will host his MSNBC weekday show “MTP Daily” at 2 p.m. Chuck Todd is taking the show on the road and stopping in Arizona - a state the moderator of NBC’s “Meet the Press” thinks may be a bellwether in the midterm elections next month.
